If you’ve been waiting around for the Zombie Apocalypse to happen, you can breathe a little easier, my friends, because I happen to know that it’s been postponed by a year. And how do I know this? Because I’m not ready for it this year, and so that’s just the way it has to be, all right?!?
You see, every year, I do a whole whack of canning and freezing in preparation for winter–or for the Zombie Apocalypse–whichever comes first.
This year, however, I just haven’t had the time. Between painting and decluttering and moving things around and more painting and…well, somehow I lost two whole months. TWO MONTHS!
(How is this even possible? 😯 )
Oh, well…it is what it is, I suppose. No matter how much I want a do-over on those toasty warm summer months (and the accompanying mojitos 😉 ), the long and the short of it is that tomato season has come and gone, the farmers’ market will close soon, and I have not a single jar of preserves to show for it. Not one.
So I’m sorry, but the zombies are just gonna have to wait until next year. 😛
