Yesterday our family said goodbye to a friend that has been with us for almost 18 years.
Companion to my older daughters since they were five, patient pillow for my youngest daughter when she was a toddler, one-time canvas for a purple marker that turned out not to be so washable after all, bed-hog, lap-warmer, bane of our dog’s existence, epitome of feline independence and hauteur…we’ll miss him greatly.

I am so sorry. Sylvester will always be with you. I lost my boy of 21 yrs 6 yrs ago this August and I think of him every day. They are a blessing to have been in our lives. Again, I’m sorry.
