Pre-Conference Panic

When I registered last year for the World Fantasy Convention, it seemed as though it were an eternity away. Then, this morning, I woke up to the sudden realization that I leave the day after tomorrow.

You all know what this means, right? Yep, time travel is not only possible, it’s happening right now — because there is no other explanation for me losing an entire year of my life!!!

It also means that I’m a hair away from full-on panic mode. To-do lists have taken over my desk: things I have to do at home before I leave for a four-day stretch; projects I need to finish for clients; preparation I need to do before moderating the Defining Urban Fantasy panel on Friday morning; stuff I need to remember to tell my husband; things I need to remember to pack; errands I need to do before I pack…

Ack!

Of course, I know everything will work out in the end, because it always does. In the meantime, however, a quiet (or not!) meltdown or two may occur…you might want to stand clear. 😉

As long as you don’t meltdown during the panel 😛

You’ll do fine, just don’t forget to have fun while you’re there.
