Late June in the Garden

And so June draws to a close. It’s hard to believe the time has moved so fast…and with it, the garden.

Things that are in bloom one day seem to drop their petals the next, their beauty as fleeting as the summer itself.

The idea that a mere five months from now, it will all likely be under a frigid blanket of snow…? shudder Yeah, let’s not go there, ‘kay? 😛

From this week’s garden:

0.7
Pink spirea, along with one of the many interesting rocks I’ve picked up in my travels. Or rather, that I’ve made my husband pick up in my travels. My husband is a very patient man… 😉
0.8
Lavender in bloom.
0.9
Coreopsis (yellow); thyme (tiny pink below); and weeds (purple) that are fortunately pretty enough to pass off as intentional…
0.10
Candy tuft (tiny white) with wild daisies…also pretty enough to leave for the moment.
0.11
Rue…a leftover from when I was trying to plant a medicinal herb garden and then got sidetracked…
0.12
One of my mystery peonies that I didn’t plant, never had in the yard in the first place, and have never seen in the neighbourhood. Have I mentioned how much I love the surprises in my garden? 🙂

Have a lovely weekend, everyone!

Hugs,
