Good gravy, it’s already the end of another week (insert head slap here)?!? Wow. It’s bad enough that time is passing way too fast, but the fact that it’s doing so AND I’m not accomplishing what I need to? That really is adding insult to injury. 🙁
But enough whining. Here’s a quick look back at the week:
- High up on my radar this week is a discussion happening in cyberspace on the topic of sexism in the publishing industry, specifically science fiction/fantasy. If you missed it, you can read my blog here — and find links to other excellent pieces, too. As I have three daughters and the topic is close to my heart, I suspect I’ll be writing more about it in future.
- Delays!! For those of you waiting for the online arrival of Gwynneth Ever After, my apologies. I had intended to release the book on Monday (coincidentally my youngest daughter’s birthday), but I’m waiting for a couple of updates to be made before I can upload the files to Amazon et al. You can blame it on my cover designer, who had the nerve to go on an actual, real-life safari when I needed her! 😉 I’m now aiming for Monday the 24th…so stay tuned!
- Don’t think you can wait that long for a book that other readers are calling “what good contemporary romance is all about”, “a well balanced read”, “superbly written”, “gooey happy”, and “utterly perfect and classy”? If you’d like an early digital copy in exchange for a review on Goodreads, Amazon, or a blog if you have one (or all three! 🙂 ), drop me an email at info@lindapoitevin.com and I’ll send you a link to a free download.
- And finally, I came across this yesterday and absolutely, totally loved it. So much so that I’ve ordered a poster-sized copy of it for my office…and decided I needed to share it with you, because who doesn’t need a reminder to take a little break now and then?
And on that note, I hope you have a wonderful weekend! Oh, and if you’re celebrating Father’s Day and you still have your dad around? Give him a hug for me and tell him I said hi. 🙂
