Bloodlore Cover Reveal!

I have a special treat for you today! I’m happy to be participating in a cover reveal event for Twitter friend and fellow Ottawa fantasy writer Krista Walsh, author of the Meratis trilogy (Evensong, Evenlight, and Eventide).

Krista is getting set to release Bloodlore, the first book in her new Cadis trilogy, the week of May 25th. And oh, my goodness, I would totally pick this up based just on its cover–because gorgeous.

Here’s the blurb:

Venn Connell is bored.

When the Andvellian ambassador in Margolin goes missing, she jumps at the chance to find him, but quickly learns the mystery goes deeper than one missing courtier.

With border tensions rising, a man vanishing before her eyes with a relic she believed lost, red-clad soldiers out for blood, and something dark following her from the charred ruins of Treevale fortress, Venn becomes a pawn in an unseen game.

Forced to confront her past and question her future, Venn knows she has to tread carefully. One wrong move and she could lose herself in the shadows, and hurl her country into war.

And here’s the cover:

See? Told you. Gorgeous.

You can check out Krista’s books on her website. She has buy links there for all of them, and–bonus!–the first of the Meratis trilogy, Evensong, is free.

You can also connect with her on Twitter and Facebook.

P.S. Artwork for Krista’s cover was done by Jeff Brown, with typography by Colin F. Barnes.
